Description

Upon successful completion of the Maritime Radiotelephone Course (VHF) you will receive your Restricted Operators Certificate (Maritime). The certificate is granted on a lifetime basis. Although not generally enforced, the law states that to operate a VHF radio you require this certificate. More importantly you will learn the proper way to use a VHFradio. The primary role of the Coast Guard-monitored VHF system is safety. Your radio can become your lifeline. Combined with pre-study of the textbook, the course and exam are completed in one evening.
