BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE September 13, 2004 MINUTES
- Lapel pins: June went over the prices, colour & size again. MOTION: June moved that we order 250 pins on a gold base @ $3.48 in our 3 colours with Manitoulin printed on them. Seconded by Chuck Spence. Carried.
- Weather course: hopefully our existing members will be interested in this. It will be introduced in the New Year, possibly Jan/Feb. Claude would like to put this course online & show the actual facts of weather. This to be discussed further
- Social evening: Ivan Filion from Cambrian College will possibly give a presentation. He has designed & built remotes, is a salmon fisherman, prepares sushi, & is a very interesting person. Claude will advise further on this. Chuck also has a friend with lots of experience on a barge. We will also have to decide where, when, what to serve & how much?
NEW BUSINESS:
- Travelling expenses: to be discussed at a later date.
- Letterhead (our own): Claude will put a template on the web page that can be used when necessary.
- Mailing to membership via E-mail & website: Chuck advised we have quite a few addresses now so this should help with communication.
NEXT MEETING: January 10, 2005, Valu Mart at 1900. Be sure to arrive before they close.
Meeting terminated at 2045. Moved by Grant Moffatt.
